Phoenix emerges from the encounter between dance and the visual research of Devid Strussiat, as part of the project “Soglie del Vivente \u2013 tra rito e contemporaneit\u00e0, l’arte come soglia di trasformazione” (Thresholds of the Living \u2013 Between Ritual and Contemporaneity, Art as a Threshold of Transformation). The work explores the regenerative power of gesture and myth, positioning dance as a contemporary ritual capable of reawakening collective memory, ancient knowledge, and the rural roots of Friuli Venezia Giulia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the transforming body, one recognizes the traces of a land that has always known the cyclical nature of fire, destruction, and rebirth \u2014 like the phoenix, like fields after sowing, like communities that rebuild themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through contemporary artistic languages \u2014 dance, sound, image, installation \u2014 “PHOENIX” transforms marginal territories into cultural and narrative spaces, places where art gives voice back to what has been forgotten. Here, the dancer’s body becomes a vessel for archaic knowledge renewed in the present: a secular ritual in which art takes on the role once held by legends, folk tales, and communal rituals \u2014 tools of cohesion and spiritual transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“PHOENIX” is a living threshold, where the contemporary meets the ancient, and the artistic gesture becomes a possibility for rebirth \u2014 for the individual, the community, and the land.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
