I continue my research on color with the second chapter of the trilogy And Color Was.
Chapter two is yellow, and its ink has faded.

The color of light, of warmth, of honey and saffron.
The color of envy and jealousy, of the traitor’s garment.

Yellow is the color of the deceiver and the deceived.
To yellow, to grow soiled, to wear thin. To grow moldy, like memories.

Yellow is the color of time passing,
golden grains like precious moments.

In Italian, giallo — literally “yellow” — is also the word for the crime and mystery genre, built around a puzzle, usually a crime, and its resolution through investigation.
Yellow, the color of bees, of pollen.

Yellow like the sun drawn by children, and by adults.
A color cannot be taken outside of time and space.

So I ask myself: what is the time of yellow? And its space? How does yellow move? What does it say, what does it mean?
