¿Are You Okay Up There? is a duet that zooms into the relationship between the conscious mind and intuition. The choreography embodies the struggle between control and spontaneity, the mind’s attempt to rationalise instinctive impulses and vice versa. As the piece unfolds, the two forces begin to merge, revealing a subconscious harmony within the conflict. How do your conscious thoughts relate to your instinct, and which one do you listen to?
The mind a powerful control room
Telling the gut it’s naive
To steal its feelings like a thief
Which one holds the key?
A joyful playhouse
A dialogue that echoes an endless song
Do you lead the dance?
Or do you follow the lead?
