A morning of performative presentations and sharing of the workshop paths started within the Arearea Dance Library project, curated by Arearea, with the aim of involving and giving back to the community and audience what emerged from the collective work.

The Most Important Thing
The performance is the result of an 8-session workshop with people both with and without Parkinson’s disease. The work is inspired by the book of the same name, The Most Important Thing by Margaret Wise Brown, illustrated by Leonard Weisgard, which explores the essence of the simple things around us. Likewise, the group tried to seek, even through movement, the most important thing in certain words, leaving it up to the audience to find the most important thing in the final question.

Puzzle
The missing piece fits back into place, like in a golden puzzle. The young dancers create geometric shapes, transform their arms into wings and their hands into butterflies. Thus, we find ourselves smiling with our hearts as we watch the vibrant young dance.
