Inside Human Being

research at the boundaries of the human

Dates

Friday 30 August, 2024 - 19.30

Como, Villa del Grumello, TEATRO DANZA Villa del Grumello

The border transcends its political, geographical, natural and concrete meaning, establishing itself as a concept to be sought in the space between man and the world. Our greatest limitation is the relationship with our own self — that is, our formation as individuals of the world in the world. During our research, we approached multiple inner rooms that each of us guards deep within: we are spaces and we walk among objects.

Inside Human Being is the third chapter of the trilogy investigating the theme of limit/border and arises from a primary urgency: what is the inner limit for me? Many possible answers exist: a crack, a point of no return, the capacity for change, biographies, our history and the history of all, the history of the world. People at the border, bodies at the border.

Third chapter of the trilogy on borders by Valentina Saggin: following Attraverso (2021), an investigation rooted in geographical and political borders, the following year the focus shifted to the natural environment with Come un acrobata sull’acqua (2022), concluding in 2023 with the inner limit — that is, man with and against himself.
