You always have to deal with your adolescence if you are searching for your own identity.
What were we like as teens? We wanted to be trendy and alternative; we were thrilled to have new coming-of-age experiences, we were jealous of our secrets and impatient to discover love.
For each event, there was a soundtrack playing along, whether it was a song sung at the top of our lungs or whispered with girlfriends. As daughters of the 90’s, huge marks were left on our growth by the very first boy bands and the female role models proposed in music videos airing on various TV shows.
Who else but Gabry Ponte could encapsulate in one of his last songs the essence of the 90’s:

“About Festivalbar, about when there were walkman and Fiorello at the karaoke…
About Gameboy and Blue, da ba dee, da ba daa.. what do they know about it, those born in the 2000’s!!!!”

Hence the desire to bring on stage those over and overplayed back sounds, to roll back the years and find ourselves again in that time where from “WE ARE” suddenly we switched to “I AM.”
