Marta Bevilacqua / Compagnia Arearea
2024

Bilingual Project supported by Go! 2025 Nova Gorica and Gorizia European Capital of Culture 2025

The exhibition offers an overview of contemporary cross-border art through works made of wood and stone — materials that represent this territory. Visitors will be able to admire the works of Italian and Slovenian sculptors, framed by photographs by Roberto Kusterle and Franco Spanò.

In this context, Marta Bevilacqua, together with Valentina Saggin and Anna Savanelli, structures a site-specific contemporary dance pathway, offering the audience the opportunity to view form through dynamics.

Silva Lapidea is part of the Museo in danza project.

The Museo in danza project connects different cultural sectors, renewing their formats and modes of fruition, in order to spark the interest of wider audiences and bring new types of visitors/spectators closer to contemporary performing arts and our rich museum heritage.
The initiative is part of the promotion and hospitality activities for contemporary dance, aimed at supporting contemporary culture.

Marta Bevilacqua writes:

Museo in danza is a project that began in 2016 and aims to explore the relationship between movement and space through performances created in fascinating but unconventional venues.
How do we position ourselves before a work of art? What action does it suggest? What imprint does the work leave on our body? What do we take away from each visit? Which detail remains?
These are the questions we ask ourselves as we embark on the journey through the museum, and upon these we will create an improvisational path.
For me, it is always a work on memory and on the life of that memory.
