At the end of the journey through the trilogy on protest, reflecting on the work accomplished — despite the incompleteness of the research — one particular suggestion remained suspended or insufficiently explored. It is a tableau born from a collage of not entirely coherent instances, yet in some way it represents the fitting epilogue of the trilogy, an appendix worthy of further investigation — an idea we have chosen to call TWIGGIES.
The primary source of inspiration is the legendary figure of Twiggy, born Lesley Hornby, the rebellious London model, symbol of her era. A witness to fashion in the 1960s, she was the first to wear the miniskirt — a new, scandalous garment in Swinging London, amid cultural revolutions and youth in power.
From this inspiration, we intend to retrace all the stages of the trilogy, driven by the need to consolidate a precise point of view that originates from psychedelic evanescence, through the exaggerated allure of glam, to the nihilistic exuberance of punk.
